One of the last great “secret” places of the earth, the Atacama Desert rises from the Pacific Ocean up to the Altiplano, the foothills of the Andes. It is the driest desert on Earth, a place of profound night silence with the Milky Way stars splashed across the crystal clear sky. Your home base for myriad outdoor adventures in this other-worldly setting is the Explora Atacama, located near the San Pedro de Atacama oasis. The hotel’s grounds cover 20 indigenous parcels of land that Explora is committed to preserving out of profound respect for the original inhabitants.
