Halfway between Chile and Tahiti, surrounded by the clearest and deepest waters of the Pacific Ocean, Easter Island is more than 1200 miles from…anything. Indeed, this volcanic Polynesian island has been known for centuries as the navel of the world. Remoteness breeds mystery, and visitors will find plenty to unravel in the standing stone statues known as Moai, the world’s most inscrutable archaeological enigma. Explora Rapa Nui is located on a tranquil spot ideal for experiencing the island’s mystical pull and dramatic isolation. Its award winning architecture was inspired by the desire for sustainability and respect for the island’s unique geography and heritage, while offering visitors the rare luxury of a close encounter with its natural state.
ACCOMMODATION: The Explora Rapa Nui offers 30 ocean-view rooms in two categories.
PROGRAMS: Our programs begin with a minimum stay of 2 nights, available year round.
EXPLORATIONS: Every evening, guests gather in the bar to meet with the guides and plan the next day. We offer 20 different outings by sea, bike and on foot, all with strong cultural and archaeological overtones, led by expert bilingual Spanish/English local guides. Our explorations are carried out in groups of maximum 8 people, thus assuring in-depth experiences for all.
