The Tabuk Province stretches along the northwest of Saudi, with the Red Sea to its west and Jordan to its north. It has an area of 146,072 kilometers (90,765 miles) and, as of 2018, had a population of 930,507. Its capital is the city of Tabuk, located in the northwest corner of Saudi, close to the Jordanian border.

The Eastern Province is—as its name implies—the easternmost of Saudi’s 13 provinces. It is the largest province by area and the third most populous. Covering an area of 22,000 sq. kilometers (13,670 sq. miles), it was an ancient crossroads on the Arabian Peninsula. As such, it became a common stopping point for caravan traders. AlUla is now a “living museum,” with much to explore.
