    Welcome to Egypt, a land of timeless wonders! Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, a Central Holidays representative will greet you and assist with entry formalities before escorting you to your hotel. Take time to settle into your Nile-view room and enjoy the remainder of the evening at leisure. You may wish to stroll along the Nile Corniche or simply relax as you prepare for the adventure ahead.     Thursday, July 29, 2027 – The Pyramids & the Grand Egyptian Museum

    After breakfast, set out on a full-day exploration of Cairo’s most iconic treasures. Marvel at the legendary Pyramids of Giza and gaze up at the Great Sphinx, the enduring guardian of this ancient plateau. Continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum, where thousands of artifacts spanning Egypt’s dynasties are showcased, including the golden treasures of King Tutankhamun. Pause midday for lunch at a local restaurant, then return to your hotel late afternoon. The evening is free, with an optional Nile dinner cruise available. (B,L)

    Friday, July 30, 2027 – Islamic Cairo / Fly to Aswan / Embark Cruise

    This morning, explore the Citadel of Saladin, an architectural masterpiece perched above Cairo, and visit the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali with its grand domes and ornate interiors. After lunch in Cairo, transfer to the airport for your flight south to Aswan. On arrival, board your deluxe Nile cruise ship, M/S Mojito.     Saturday, July 31, 2027 – Aswan / Kom Ombo / Edfu

    Discover the highlights of Aswan today. Visit the mighty High Dam, a modern engineering marvel, then take a motorboat across the Nile to the island sanctuary of Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Later, board a traditional felucca for a serene sail around Kitchener Island, famed for its lush botanical gardens. Return to the cruise for lunch as you sail north to Kom Ombo. Explore the unusual twin temple dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon-headed god. Continue sailing toward Edfu. (B,L,D)

    Sunday, August 1, 2027 – Edfu / Esna / Luxor

    Step ashore in Edfu this morning to visit the Temple of Horus, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt, with massive pylons and intricately carved reliefs. Back on board, sail through the Esna Lock before continuing to Luxor. In the afternoon, explore Luxor Temple, dramatically illuminated by the late-afternoon light.     Monday, August 2, 2027 – Total Solar Eclipse Viewing / Karnak (if time permits)

    Today is the highlight of your journey: the Total Solar Eclipse of 2027. Witness this rare astronomical event from a specially arranged viewing site or directly from the deck of your ship, with expert commentary to enrich the experience. Share this once-in-a-lifetime spectacle with fellow travelers as the skies darken over the Nile Valley. If time allows later in the day, visit Karnak Temple, the world’s largest religious complex. (B,L,D)

  • Day 7

    Tuesday, August 3, 2027 – Luxor (West Bank) / Sail to Edfu

    This morning, cross the Nile to the West Bank to explore some of Egypt’s most celebrated archaeological treasures: the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. If Karnak Temple was not visited on Day 6, it will be included today. Return to the ship for lunch, then begin sailing toward Edfu. Evening at leisure on board. (B,L,D) 

  • Day 8

    Wednesday, August 4, 2027 – Edfu / Kom Ombo / Aswan

    After breakfast, visit any missed sites in Edfu before resuming your voyage. Stop once more at Kom Ombo for further exploration of its fascinating temple before sailing back to Aswan. Relax and enjoy dinner and entertainment on board.(B,L,D)

  • Day 9

    Thursday, August 5, 2027 – Aswan (Optional Abu Simbel)

    Today is free to relax or join an optional excursion to Abu Simbel, the monumental twin temples of Ramses II and Queen Nefertari, carved directly into the mountainside and relocated to save them from flooding. Return to the ship for lunch and spend the rest of the day at leisure, enjoying the amenities of your floating hotel. (B,L,D)

  • Day 10

    Friday, August 6, 2027 – Disembark Cruise / Fly to Cairo / Old Cairo

    Disembark after breakfast and transfer to Aswan Airport for your return flight to Cairo. On arrival, enjoy a guided tour of Old Cairo, including the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue. Stroll through the colorful Khan El Khalili bazaar where centuries-old shops brim with spices, jewelry, and handicrafts. Pause midday for lunch, then check in to your hotel for your final evening in Egypt. (B,L)

    Saturday, August 7, 2027 – Depart Cairo

    After breakfast, transfer to Cairo International Airport for your return flight home, taking with you the unforgettable memories of ancient wonders and the rare celestial magic of the Total Solar Eclipse. (B)
