STOPOVER IN ISTANBUL

After breakfast, set out on a full day exploring some of Istanbul’s most celebrated landmarks. Begin at the magnificent Blue Mosque, officially known as the Sultanahmet Mosque. Famous for its graceful domes, six minarets, and beautiful blue Iznik tiles, it remains one of Istanbul’s most recognizable sights. Conclude the day at Istanbul’s legendary Grand Bazaar, one of the largest and oldest covered markets in the world. After breakfast, discover another side of Istanbul during a half-day sightseeing tour. Begin with a visit to the colorful Spice Market, where stalls overflow with aromatic spices, teas, sweets, dried fruits, and other traditional specialties. Dating to the 17th century, the market remains one of Istanbul’s most atmospheric shopping experiences. Then, enjoy a relaxing Bosphorus cruise, taking in the wonderful views of Istanbul’s European and Asian shores as you sail past elegant Ottoman mansions, impressive palaces, historic fortresses, and waterfront landmarks including Dolmabahçe Palace, Beylerbeyi Palace, Ortaköy Mosque, and Rumeli Fortress.
