The camel is the official animal of Saudi. Specifically, the dromedary camel, or the one-humped camel. It is used for transportation, carrying loads (providing they aren’t too heavy), and as a meat source.
Muharram is the first month of the Islamic calendar. It is one of the four sacred months of the year and the second holiest month after Ramadan The first day of the month in 2023 is July 19, but that doesn’t mean there is nothing happening in the Western new year in Saudi.
Hail Province, located in north-central Saudi, contains eight governorates. The city of Hail is the capital of the region and the largest city; in fact, two-thirds of the population lives in the city alone. Historically, Hail city was the capital of the entire Arabian Desert
The Tabuk Province stretches along the northwest of Saudi, with the Red Sea to its west and Jordan to its north. It has an area of 146,072 kilometers (90,765 miles) and, as of 2018, had a population of 930,507. Its capital is the city of Tabuk, located in the northwest corner of Saudi, close to the Jordanian border.
The Eastern Province is—as its name implies—the easternmost of Saudi’s 13 provinces. It is the largest province by area and the third most populous. Its population is almost 5 million people, and more than a third of that live in the Dammam metropolitan area (also known as the “Triplet Cities”), which consist of the city of Dammam, Khobar, and Dhahran.
